How to add libstdc++ to a Yocto (Poky) image

The C++ standard library is not included in the default Yocto Project and Openembedded images.

  • If you need it, add in the local.conf or into the image file the following line
IMAGE_INSTALL_append = " libstdc++"

  • If you need it, add in the local.conf or into the image file the following line
TOOLCHAIN_TARGET_TASK_append = " libstdc++-staticdev"
